Thursdates: Riddle Me This…

By DateSpaces.com | May 30th, 2008 | Posted in Thursdates

Dear DateSpacers,

A little riddle for you, inspired by the recent/impending releases of two highly anticipated films:Dr. Henry Jones taught us that eating them leads to death, yet Carrie, Miranda, Charlotte, and Samantha have had many. What are they? Hint: eliminating them is the raison d’être of DateSpaces.com.Good luck!

cheers.jpg We here at DateSpaces want to give you the kind of guidance needed to traverse the world of dating in New York City. With that in mind, we’ll be adding articles and links of interest to the dating community from time to time. Here’s our maiden voyage.

A cool date idea…just make sure to shower off afterwards!

virgthree.jpgWith our staff taking Memorial Day off for a job well done, we were more than surprised to come back to our offices to find an email from an anonymous user…the very same guy who starred in our most recent installment of Ask Our Staff. We asked him for as much detail as he could muster and here’s what he had to say:

Thursdates: The Album

By DateSpaces.com | May 23rd, 2008 | Posted in Thursdates

big-heart.jpgDear DateSpacers,

If music be the food of love, get ready for a smörgåsbord! At DateSpaces.com, we don’t all love wine and women (at least not in that way), but none of us can get enough song. That’s why we’ve devoted this issue of Thursdates to music.

We’re not alone in our music obsession. For instance, last night’s American Idol winner, David Cook, won by 12 million (freaking) votes. 12 million! That’s more votes than there are people in any state in the US other than CA, TX, NY, FL, IL, and PA! Boom!

40-year-old_virgin.jpgBelieve it or not, DateSpacers, we secretly had a pool betting on when we’d receive this one. Let’s just say that it took longer than we expected, so congratulations to one of our group, who is $50 richer.

A user pleading anonymity wrote us the following, “I’m a 20-year-old virgin who just started what looks to be a seriously relationship and I think me and my girl are going to do the deed soon. I’m nervous about being good at it, especially because I know she’s really really experienced with this and because she knows I’ve never done it. What should I do?”

Thursdates: Boooooo!

By DateSpaces.com | May 15th, 2008 | Posted in Thursdates

big-heart.jpg“Dear” DateSpacers,

We’re insulted by the number of entrants into our “Stimulate Your Love Life” contest (0). What an ungrateful lot! We hope you’re happy. What the hell are we supposed to do with 500 “Stimulate This” slap bracelets? Recreate Wang Chung’s “Dance Hall Days” music video and substitute a slap bracelet for the bejeweled gold coil bracelet in the original (2:05)? Well, it doesn’t look as cool as you would think, so try again!

There will be consequences. You can count on it. We may just have to stop having Thursdates contests.

break-up.jpgWe’ve given you a lot of great advice on what to do in a relationship. But, DateSpacers, we’re realistic - things don’t always work out. So to prepare you for those possibilities, we’re giving you a series on how to break up. Parts I and II can be found here and here, respectively. Your author is H.C. Ingram.

mother-and-child.jpg “Help!” That’s the last line of an email we received from an anonymous user who had a serious question for us to answer. Never fear! DateSpaces is here!

The rest of the email read, “I’ve gone on a handful of dates with a guy who I think could be a potential mate down the road, but I haven’t told him yet that I have a daughter from a previous marriage. When should I tell him and how?”
