Review
New York City’s longest-running ever-changing magic show has moved south from its midtown digs to the cozy Bleeker Street Theatre. Each week, three very different magicians extract countless oohs and aahs from audience members, appropriate aperitifs for what you should expect a few hours later if you play your cards right. Magic gets the adrenaline pumping, no doubt about it — did you watch the man they call Mystery’s show on VH1 last year? If you did, then you know what we’re talking about — if you didn’t, then add it to your Netflix cue pronto!
Perhaps the most date-friendly aspect of MNM is that it’s “for adults” without being “adult.” Since it takes place on a school night, it’s expected that children won’t be showing up, unless they are particularly mature. That said, even though the audience is of age, it doesn’t give the magicians free reign to tell lewd jokes or act inappropriately. The magic is taken seriously by those on stage as well as those in the seats, making this DateSpace an especially wise choice for a standout date early on in the relationship.
Do we hook you up or what?
