1. Museum of Sex
“Dedicated to the exploration of the history, evolution and cultural significance of human sexuality”, this museum explores the subject in a very serious manner while always providing enough hints of promiscuous innuendo to keep your heart racing throughout the afternoon.
2. Museum of Modern Art
The newly-designed MoMA (pictured, above left) is sleeker and sexier than ever before, on both the inside and the outside. Make sure to check out the retro-hip household designs permanent exhibit.
3. Metropolitan Museum of Art
Still considered by many art historians as the greatest museum in the world. Their ancient Greek, Roman, and Egyptian collections are second to none.
4. Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum
The coolest and most novice-friendly temporary exhibits of new art seem to always find a home at the Goog.
5. Frick Collection
A small museum on the UES containing the best-known paintings of the European masters. You’ve probably seen them in books before, but seeing them in person is breaktaking. A fun game: Count how many times you and your date say, “Oh I know that one!”
6. Madame Tussaud’s New York
As far as museum-dates go, this world-famous wax museum is tough to beat. You’ll have endless hours of fun posing next to wax celebrities. But be forewarned, it’s the most expensive museum in the city.

For film buffs, the Moving Image in Astoria is must-see!

Rivals the Met as the greatest museum in the world, period.
9. Whitney Museum
Considered the coolest of the modern art museums in New York. Novices be forewarned — it’s snootier than the rest of the lot.
10. Pepsico Gardens
Before it gets bitter cold, take a train up to Westchester and check out the gorgeous sculpture gardens in Purchase, NY. The perfect way to spend a Saturday afternoon.
