We’ve temporarily emerged from our tryptophan-induced coma to bring you a brief Thursdates stuffed with our trademark tips and advice. Sorry, maybe “stuffed” is a poor word choice for today. TAKE TWO: Please enjoy this Reader’s Digest version of Thursdates. Crap. “Digest” isn’t any better, huh? Good gravy.

pillar8-thought-and-art-vitruvian-man-leonardo-da-vinci.jpgOur anonymous writer from Online Dating Matches returns with some advice on dating attire. Click here for his previous installment.

Think back to the last girl you met and took out on a date. Unlike the U.S. Treasury’s shotgun marriage to Citibank this week, you probably spent a good amount of time and/or money before she finally agreed to go out with you. You carefully planned where you would take her, how much you would spend and (hopefully) where you would wind up if the date was a success. Did you give any consideration to the clothes that you were going to wear, or did you just throw together a collared shirt, ironed blue jeans and some tennis shoes that you picked up at Walmart’s Black Friday Sale, hoping for that “casual look” ? There’s a good chance that if the date was a failure, it could be due in part to what you were wearing (or not wearing).

Review
Many native New Yorkers consider this Soho hotspot to be the best deal in town. L’Ecole is the restaurant arm of The French Culinary Institute, the heralded American cooking school. Since these top chefs are essentially students, prices remain astonishingly low despite the restaurant’s fancy neighborhood digs, haute cuisine, white tablecloths, and top-level service.

primenumbershundredschart_1.jpgDear DateSpacers:

DateSpaces.com is pleased to present Issue 41, the first prime-numbered issue since Issue 37!

Funny story about that: So, when we started this whole Thursdates thing, they promised me that we’d stop when we got to the largest prime number. Sounds like an ok deal, right? Well, turns out Euclid proved over 2000 years ago that there are infinitely many primes. Whoops.

heart-note.jpgPlayDates is back!. This time, we bring you “Songs That We’re Or Could’ve Been In A 1980s John Hughes Movie” or “DateSpaces’ New Wave of Love”. The songs are united in their earnestness, 80s feel, and, in most cases, upbeat tempo. More simply, the criteria were these:

a) The song uses (or could use) an occasional crash cymbal on the sixth and eighth eighth-notes of a measure, and/or

b) The song makes your kiss feel magical enough for a 1980s teen movie.
