ThursDates: Love Is Back!

big-heart.jpgDear DateSpacers:

Well, the election is (finally) over, and if–like Donny Hathaway and Roberta Flack (and the Black Eyed Peas)–the last few months have had you wondering, “Where is the love?” then look no further. Love is back, Baby.

If you’re not convinced, we submit to you the conciliatory and, dare we say, loving speeches from Senators McCain and Obama from Tuesday night. Like we said: love is back.

And so we close the election season with a love poem of sorts:

Some will vote red,
Others see only blue–
But love is as blind
As Mr. Magoo.*

1. DateSpace of the Week
This week’s DateSpace of the Week is Century 21 (the department store, not the real estate agency): “Yeah, we know it sounds crazy, but…few locales present a more collaborative experience with lower pressure than department stores.” We guarantee you’ll have so much fun you’ll think you’re on the set of Are You Being Served?

On that note, when you go, watch out for the sales reps like Mrs. Slocombe (for starters, avoid anyone with neon hair) or your date could get a little hairy…er…awkward.

Also, if you get bored from too much shopping like you did sometimes as a kid you can always hide in one of those circular clothing racks and you can’t yell at me about it anymore because I’m an adult now, Mom!

Been on a really great date lately? Suggest next week’s DateSpace of the week by emailing eric@datespaces.com.

2. This Week at The Daily Dater
Letty advises against whipping out a coupon on the first date. In short: if you like saving so much, save the coupon, too.

Peace, Love, and Happy Dating!
