In a previous DateSpace of the Week, we recommended that you check out Hearth because, among other date-worthy reasons, that East Village establishment serves the medieval libation known as mead. Sweetiepie, a brand new dessert joint in the West Village, serves another obscure alcohol that is making a smashing debut in the U.S., now that it has been legalized. We are referring, of course, to that mouthwash-meets-maple-syrup-like liquor known as Absinthe. So before someone else gives your date his/her first taste of absinthe (and more importantly, before this absinthe craze hits the backlash wall) take you date over to Sweetiepie and sip the green monster.

Sweetiepie might also be the perfect DateSpace for multiple couples since its dessert menu features an uber-indulgent twenty-scoop sundae.
