1. Practice makes perfect.

No matter what you do in life, you have to practice at it to be perfect. There is nothing more intimidating (and sometimes humiliating) than being shot down by a woman you are trying to talk to at a bar. Why torture yourself night after night after night? Start by taking baby steps. Practice talking to women when you are in the supermarket. Practice talking to women when you are in line at Starbucks. If you are so shy that talking to an attractive female is an unimaginable feat, practice talking to ugly chicks. This way you can concentrate on light and breezy conversation without being intimidated, no offense. Soon your confidence will grow to the point where it will become second nature to open a conversation with a female.
