First off, what are tags?

Tags are one-word descriptors that you can assign location pages on DateSpaces.com to help other users identify great date places based on their unique characteristics. Tags are a little bit like keywords, but they're chosen by you, and they do not form a hierarchy. You can assign as many tags to a location page as you like.

First off, what are tags?

Tags are one-word descriptors that you can assign location pages on DateSpaces.com to help other users identify great date places based on their unique characteristics. Tags are a little bit like keywords, but they’re chosen by you, and they do not form a hierarchy. You can assign as many tags to a location page as you like.

For example, if you were tagging a bar like PDT, you could tag it with words like “hidden” “underground” “secret” or whatever other tags you might think other DateSpacers would use to find it during their searches. Make up tags as you need them, and use the tags that make the most sense to you.

If you don’t get it right away, that’s OK — you don’t have to. Tagging is pretty intuitive and can take some practice to fully understand. Try it and experiment a bit! There are no wrong tags.

How do I tag?

On every DateSpaces location page, there is a field for tags. You’ll notice lists of tags in this field already. Once you’re registered and logged in, you can start adding as many new tags as you would like to describe that particular location. All tags are separated by a space.

The only limitation on tags is that they must not include spaces. So if your location page is part of a two-word neighborhood like “Meatpacking District”, you may want to tag it as md, meatpacking-district, MeatpackingDistrict, meatpacking.district, or whatever else makes sense to you. You probably don’t want to use commas, though, since a comma will be become part of the tag.

You know what’s going to make DateSpaces really great? You!

At DateSpaces.com, we want to build an online community where people can share their dating experiences and expertise. No one has better insight on where to go for a date then friends and neighbors who are actively dating in your city or neighborhood. By contributing to DateSpaces.com you help create a great community for sharing ideas and finding the perfect place to go for any type of romantic occasion. The more we all contribute, the better resource DateSpaces will become!

So, how can you help?

Now that you’re registered, tell us about your favorite date spots or where you’ve had a particularly good (or bad) date experience:

1. Search for the location in our Date-abase. If it’s there, click
the link. If you don’t see it, then it’s easy to add!

2. Once you get to the location page, there are multiple ways to inform the community about the DateSpace and your experience there:

* Describe the Location*

Locate the wiki section of the page labeled “DateSpace Details” and tell us
about the place. How’s the atmosphere? Is this place classy? How pricey is it?

*Comment on Your Experience!*

Write a review! Here’s where everyone gets to see your unique opinion about the place.

*Add Tags, Pictures, and Rate the Location!*

You can also add pictures of the place, add tags, or rate the location on our date
criteria. All these help other users find or avoid this location.

We believe that DateSpaces.com, with your help, can be a truly great online resource and
community. We hope you’re as excited as we are! (Well, maybe not quite. A couple of us are a little out of control. Incidentally, any good psychiatrists out there?)

Happy dating!

<3,
The DateSpaces Staff

p.s. Don’t forget to check out our other features too!
