How to Search the “Date-abase”
Searching the Date-abase (get it?) is quick and easy. Just click on the search box at the top of any page and type in your search terms according to one or more the following criteria:
1. The name of the DateSpace – If you know the name of the place you’re looking for, just type it in the search box. Really, it’s that simple!
2. The borough/neighborhood you’re in – You may search by full boroughs, or by neighborhood. We recommend that you use the neighborhood option here if you can—the more specific your search, the narrower the results.
3. Popular tags – Each DateSpace comes with its unique set of tags, or search descriptors. For instance, if you type in “Chinese”, you will get a full list of Chinese restaurants in NYC. To narrow your search, combine tags such as “Brooklyn Chinese”.
4. Once you’ve typed in your search terms, click the “Search the Date-abase” button to generate your list of DateSpaces. Note that you can also add search terms to your search by clicking on the tags on the left side of the results page. The example used above (“Brooklyn Chinese”) can be accessed by clicking on these terms instead of typing them. Talk about easy!
