DateSpaces.com is more than just a directory of hot spots in your area. With your permission, may we list a few of those things that make DateSpaces.com so special?

a. At DateSpaces.com bars, bistros, bowling alleys, etc. (we call them DateSpaces) are rated and reviewed based on how well they serve as a place for a date. While other sites may tell you that So-and-So’s French Café has the best crème brûlée in town, for instance, they may not mention that the restaurant is so quiet that it’s impossible not to be self-conscious while dining. At DateSpaces.com you will find out what makes a location great (or not so great) for a date.

b. DateSpaces.com is user-driven. We the Staff provide our insight in editorials and reviews of our own, but it’s the user community that provides the final say on the date-ability of a particular DateSpace. We figure that you’re better off making your dating decisions based on the feedback of many others than on a single review. And–so you don’t have to spend time sifting through multiple reviews to be well-informed–we’ve designed a simple rating scheme that will help you get the information you need, fast. Plus, you have the opportunity to share your opinions with the rest of the community, too!

c. More than a directory alone, DateSpaces.com is your one-stop resource for great dates. As a member, you can keep track of past and future dates, catalogue the DateSpaces you wish to visit in the future, read and share dating stories and advice, and, yes, a whole lot more.

What is a DateSpace?
A DateSpace is any location where a date or part of a date can occur. It could be a traditional place for a date–e.g. a restaurant, a cafe, a movie theater, etc–or maybe something not so traditional–a park, a bowling alley, a museum, or anything else you can come up with. We at DateSpaces.com encourage creativity!

What is the “Date-abase”?
The Date-abase is our catalogue of thousands of DateSpaces to explore–rated according to their date-ability. At DateSpaces.com, you can search the Date-abase for dating ideas, rate and review a DateSpace, or even add a new DateSpace to the Date-abase.

What is MyDatebook?
MyDatebook is your personal calendar, journal, and planner for your dating life. In MyDatebook, you can

1. keep your dates and appointments organized in your personal calendar;
2. keep a journal of your dating experiences;
3. keep track of the DateSpaces you’ve been to in the past or are hoping to visit in the future in MyDateSpaces

How do I add a DateSpace to MyDatebook?
First, make sure that you are logged in to your account. If you have not yet created an account, sign up! Once you’re logged in, there are three ways to add a DateSpace to your Datebook:

1. The easiest way to add a DateSpace to your personal Datebook is by going to that DateSpace’s page and clicking the “Add to MyDatebook” button near the top of the page.
2. Additionally, any time you use the Add to Current Date feature, any DateSpace that is part of the date you build is automatically stored to your Datebook.
3. Finally, any time you rate, comment on, or edit the information for a DateSpace it will be automatically be added to your Datebook.
4. All the DateSpaces in your Datebook are stored in the section labeled “MyDateSpaces”. You can easily remove DateSpaces once you’re in MyDatebook.

How do I rate a DateSpace?
First, locate the DateSpace you would like to rate in the Date-abase and view the DateSpace’s page by clicking on the name of that DateSpace. On the upper right hand corner of the DateSpace’s page, you can rate the DateSpace’s date-ability by according to five date-specific criteria.

How do I edit information about a DateSpace?
Once you are logged in, you can easily edit the wiki portion of a DateSpace’s page by clicking the edit button on the upper right hand corner of the “DateSpace Details” block. You will be directed to a screen with fields to input or change information. When you’re done, click the “Save Changes” button. Please note, factual information should be added to “DateSpace Details.” User reviews and opinions should go under “Comment on this DateSpace.”

How do I change my email address?
For security reasons, we do not allow users to change validated email addresses at this time. If you have lost access to your on-file email address or would like to change your email address for any other reason, please contact us and we will work with you to update your information.

How do I change my password?
Please use the Change Password form to update your information. You will need to enter your current password in order to change your password to something else. If you have forgotten your current password, click here to have it sent to the email address you have setup with your DateSpaces account.

How do I change my username?
We cannot change your username because it is included in your permanent website address at DateSpaces.com. It is possible that someone has included a link to your DateSpaces in his/her Datebook, and we would not want to break that link. If you need to change your username, please start a new account using the new name you desire. Contact us to have your existing information transferred to the new account.

How do I cancel my DateSpaces account?
If you wish to cancel your DateSpaces account, please contact us.

Is there a fee for using DateSpaces?
DateSpaces is completely free. We will never ask for any payment information from you. If someone has contacted you about a fee or payment due, please report it and we will investigate the situation.
