This is one of the prettiest places in New York - the murals are world famous - naked Howard Chandler Christy nymphs in forest settings - very sexy. They don't require jackets, but you still have to spiff up a bit.

Isn't it a bit typical

It's not very original, and very pricey for a date unless you've been dating for a long time. Just not where I would want to be taken on a date.

Parlor at Cafe des Artistes

There is a little parlor just next to the restaurant with a zinc bar that is straight out of Paris. You can have a drink there, or dinner - it is charming.
