You know why I love Banc? Because while it looks and feels like a bar, it actually sounds like a restaurant. The background music is on the very low side, but it's crowded enough that you don't feel like you're in a uber-romantic environment. There are a lot of other people conversing around you, and yet, you can totally hear everything your date is saying. So, while I normally don't recommend bars/restaurants for first dates, if you're a talker or if your date's a talker, this is a great place to start things off.
