Opera is for lovers

The Met is sure to impress a date, especially if he or she has never been to an opera before. My recommendations as great date operas for this season: Magic Flute, Barber of Seville, Aida, Daughter of the Regiment, Romeo and Juliet, and Hansel and Gretel. Don't take your date to a Wagner opera or a 20th century opera for a first foray into the genre. Trust me!
