For good-old fashioned American comfort food and delicious milkshakes, nothing beats Homer's. This post-modern diner/bar/family restaurant/ice cream parlor (yes, it really is all of them in one) is a gem. I certainly wouldn't recommend it as the only stop on your date, but it's the perfect capper to an evening of festivities on the UWS.
